Griffin Pediment Fruits Basket
A stunning French hand carved decorative pediment or "fronton" from the 19th century. The wooden furniture ornament finely features two griffins / chimeras around a fruits basket. This wooden mount would be nice too above a doorway or alcove. Walnut wood. Chimera cornice. On the back, you can see the hand tools marks.
