Seashell Inkwell
A beautiful French antique handmade inkwell from the 1920's. This large inkwell has been created with pieces of natural seashells, scallop and oyster shells and beach sand. The colorful piece displays a glass ink pot and a hand painted sailboat. At the top, there is a thermometer in the shape of an anchor.
This kind of seashell inkwell used to be French holidays souvenir. When you look at it on your desk, it's as if you were on holidays.
Please take a close look at the photos, they are an integral part of the description. Good vintage condition with some normal signs of ages on seashells and rust on the metal lid. The thermometer doesn't work anymore.
