Wedgwood Dark Blue Dip Jasper Ware Bell Shape Creamer features the bas-relief of Friendship Consoling Affliction, from a design by Lady Elizabeth Templetown, based on an antique bas-relief "The New Bride". Depicted is a weeping bride with a female attendant pouring liquid over her feet.
It is marked 'Wedgwood England' in Serif Font which generally dates the piece to between the McKinley Tariff Act of 1891 and Wedgwood abandoning the 'England' Only mark in 1905 for most general production pieces.
