Mary Standing on a Snake Wall Frame
A wonderful French antique religious wall sculpture in relief. The Virgin Mary has been molded and carved from soap plaster imitating meerschaum carving. It features a beautiful portrait of Mary standing on a snake. This sculpture has been signed by the artist.
Dark blue velvet on the background. Enhanced by a black wooden frame. There is a ring to display it on the wall.
This beautiful religious art dates from the late 19th century, around the 1880's.
Overall good antique condition with some normal signs of ages like tiny chips, wears on the frame (see photos). The convex glass is missing.
