A beautiful antique medal made of brass. The religious pendant features Saint Bernard of Clairvaux, patron saint of mountain. "Bernard of Clairvaux (Latin: Bernardus Claraevallensis), venerated as Saint Bernard, was a Burgundian abbot, and a major leader in the revitalization of Benedictine monasticism through the nascent Order of Cistercians."
The reverse depicts a religious monument and is dated in Latine "MDCCCCXCI", 1891.
