The Seamless Robe of Jesus Medal
A stunning German antique medal. The fine pendant features the Seamless robe of Jesus surrounding by the sentence:
"der rock aber war ohne nath von oben an durchaus gewebt"
" but the seamless robe of Jesus was woven without nath from the top"
The reverse features a church with the German speaking words:
"der hellige rock ausgestellt im dome zu trier "
"the Holy Robe of Jesus exhibited in the dome of trier"
"The Seamless Robe of Jesus (also known as the Holy Robe, Holy Tunic, Holy Coat, Honorable Robe, and Chiton of the Lord) is the robe said to have been worn by Jesus during or shortly before his crucifixion. Competing traditions claim that the robe has been preserved to the present day. One tradition places it in the Cathedral of Trier."
