Eglomise Casket Box Jewelry Case Souvenir of Lyon
A charming French antique casket made of brass mounts and bevelled glass. The eglomise lid depicts an architectural decor from the French city of Lyon, certainly built for a worldwide exhibition. "Eglomise" is the term applied to the back-painted glass panels in these old French souvenirs. The inside of this box is covered with fabric. It dates to the late 19th century.
