Black Forest Owls Box
A beautiful hand carved Black Forest lidded box dating to the late 19th century. The top depicts a carved pair of owls with glass eyes on a stone wall. Ivy climbs the wall and another owl is sitting on one foot. The carving is fabulous and the design is one of a kind. This is the perfect box to keep all things you cherished. It reminds me of the fantasy world of Harry Potter.
CONDITION: This jewelry casket has its original lock and key. The inside is lined with a blue fabric that is in quite good condition. Very good condition of the wood considering the ages.
