

Cast Iron Angel
Charming antique French cast iron angel cast from cast from cast iron. This vintage religious figure depicts an angel at the top, on the left the Lorraine cross and a crosier on the right. A crozier is used in ecclesiastical heraldry to represent pastoral authority in the coats of arms of cardinals, bishops, abbots and abbesses. The Patriarchal cross or cross of Lorraine is a variant of the Christian cross.
This antique angel decorated used to be a part of a bigger cast iron sculpture. Only this part survived through the years. The back is also ornated. It dates to the 19th century.
CONDITION: overall good antique condition with signs of ages, some parts are broken (chains, cross ect)
