A beautiful  and rare antique French silver rosary and faceted beads in saphiret, dating from the 1920s. This rosary consists of 5 sets of 10 beads of blue in the center and pink outside, and a cross with openwork ends with a fleur-de-lis pattern and presenting a Christ on the cross. The heart of the rosary contains the "M" motif of Marian. Hallmarks are visible on the ring of the cross and on the rosary heart: boar's head. Silver titled 800‰. In very good condition.

As you can see on the detailed photos, the color is gorgeous and is changing with the light.

Saphiret was made by adding real gold to sapphire colored molten glass during the late 1800's to mid 1900's. This created this so beautiful color from a mocha or pinkish brown to a soft blue.
