Black Forest Squirrel Holder
A delightful antique Victorian era Black Forest hand carved match stand or toothpick holder. It displays a beautiful squirrel or fox figure carrying a grape harvest basket on his back. Very detailed carving.
This match or toothpick holder could be put on the edge of the fireplace holding matches to light the fire or in your kitchen. In any case, it would add to your interior French country accents.
It has been numbered on the underside 6097.
Good antique condition with some normal signs of ages (see photos closely).
