This is a magnificent antique French religious engraved silver plated copper plaque based on a wooden panel. The wall frame features the Christ with Angels after a painting of Anthony Van Dyck (1599-1641 ). He was a Flemish Baroque painter and printmaker, especially a portraitist, who was the leading court painter in England, after achieving great success in Italy and Flanders.
