A wonderful French antique religious framed sculpture in relief. It features "The Descent from the Cross" after the famous painting of Rubens from the cathedral of Anvers. The carved soap plaster sculpture was made and is signed by the French sculptor E.Cassier. The original marble piece was displayed in the International Exhibition of London in 1862.
