Sterling Silver Niello Snuff Box
A beautiful French antique snuff box from the early nineteenth century. The sterling silver fine piece features a hunt themed decor. On the middle it displays the hunting instruments and around there is a swan, a hunter with his dog hunting ducks, a dog running after a stag, a rabbit and a Cupid. The inside of the box is gold filled.
The box is hallmarked with the French sterling silver hallmark "the old man" or Tete de Vieillard used from 1819 to 1838. There iarealso the guarantee hallmark and the silversmith hallmark.
