A fabulous French vintage seafood platter made of majolica. The hand painted plate displays 12 shell compartments and one sauce or lemon caompartment on the middle. The geometrical motifs are inspired by vivid colors Celtic and Breton motifs. Indeed, it was produced by Saint Jean de Bretagne: a French pottery manufacture located in Brittany (Morbihan) opened in 1951 and closed in 1989.

The plate bears the backstamp: Saint Jean de Bretagne and the initials of the decorator: PB.

Please take a close look at the photos, they are an integral part of the description. Good condition, no crack, no splinter. Just some normal signs of ages. This platter would be stunning to display seafood.
