GIR Ashtray
A French advertising ashtray for the GIR company of plumbing supplies, dating to the mid-20th century. The ceramic triangular ashtray or trinket bowl has been glazed in a pale shade of grey with the company's logo in raised letters. The top features a ceramic plumber glazed in blue.
The underside of the ashtray has been stamped : "Created for the friends of the plumbing supplies GIR" as a thank you message to the customer's of the company. There is also the manufacturer's mark: "Faience d'art, Made in France, Proceram Aubagne en Provence".
Very good antique condition with some signs of normal signs of ages. Only one manufacture flaw (see photo).
