A beautiful vintage French marquetry dating to the 1950's. The wooden piece has been totally handcrafted from small pieces of wood to create a picture. This art is named: marquetry. The picture depicts a French Alsacian village. It has been signed by the artist Joseph Aufderbruck who was a student of the famous French marquetry artist Spindler. 

"Marquetry (also spelled as marqueterie; from the French marqueter, to varigate) is the art and craft of applying pieces of veneer to a structure to form decorative patterns, designs or pictures." 

Overall good condition with some normal signs of ages.
