Regular price €75

A rare french antique medal made by the French master engraver and sculptor Ovide Yencesse (1869 - 1947). The pendant commemorates the bombing of the cathedral of Reims in 1914 by the German. You can read "Saint Remi chasing the fiery demons out of Reims. Low relief FD gate of Saint Sixth - Germans bomb and sets fire to the cathedral of Reims September 1914".
On the reverse, the pendant features the smiling angel of the cathedral of Reims. The image is taken from the Gothic French statue at the Cathedral at Reims. This is a great religious and historical medal, created around the 1920's.

Good antique condition with some signs of ages. The design is used by time and prayers. Please take a close look at the photos, they are an integral part of the description.
