Sterling Silver Meat Carving Serving Set
A beautiful French sterling silver carving and serving set decorated with the elegant Rococo design featuring flowers and shells. The carving fork features an incredible griffin or chimera. The figure is really detailed. The handles bear the French "Minerve Premier Titre" hallmark indicating the highest quality of French sterling silver (950/1000), used in Paris since 1838. The knife blades is tamped "Paris". This French carving and serving set is offered with its original case with yellow fabric and red velvet.
This sterling silver flatware set dates from the 1880's and was bought at Emile Gabis's shop in Toulon. This kind of high quality set used to be wedding gift.
Please take a close look at the photos, they are an integral part of the description. This antique set is in good condition with some normal signs of ages and use like tiny scratches and dark spots on the upper parts and use on the upper parts of the serving set. The case shows signs of wear.
