Blue Peacock Wall Crucifix
A French antique religious wall hand carved crucifix made of gilt wood. Jesus Christ corpus is meticulously carved with amazing details. The gilded cross features the plaque INRI and at the feet of Jesus, a skull and crossbones. It is surrounded by a gilt wood frame with architectural motifs. The background is covered by a peacock blue velvet. This old figures of Christ show a relaxed spent Christ whose head is downcast in acceptance of his impending death.
Condition: the velvet is new. The nails have been changed. Overall good antique condition.
