A large French antique religious medal made of solid sterling silver. The Catholic pendant features the Sacred Heart and is engraved in Latin : " Cor meun jungatur vobis " meaning "Let My Heart Be Joined To You". The reverse depicts Virgin Mary and is engraved in French, " Mary has been conceived without sin ".
The 19th century medal was designed by the French artist Vachette. This French silversmith is known to have designed the first "Miraculous medal". The pendant is unsigned.

CONDITION:
Good condition with some normal signs of ages. The French sterling silver hallmark is on the ring.
