A beautiful vintage marquetry panel depicting the Art Nouveau style portrait of a Japanese woman holding a fan. The large wooden picture has been totally handcrafted from small pieces of wood to create a picture. This art is named: marquetry. "Marquetry (also spelled as marqueterie; from the French marqueter, to varigate) is the art and craft of applying pieces of veneer to a structure to form decorative patterns, designs or pictures." This large wall art panel measures 41 7/8 inches high. Highly decorative, it's a one-of-a-kind piece not to be missed
CONDITION: overall good vintage condition with some wears consistent with ages: a small piece of veneer is missing, some pieces have small, unstuck corners. See photos. There is a hook to easily hang it on the wall.
