A magnificent antique cross pendant to add to your heirloom jewelry collection. This exquisite cross will passed down through generations remaining the same. The spiritual cross has been made with Bressans enamel and 925 sterling silver. The design consist of six red or blue color enamel square plaques with 24K gold inlay, set in a vermeil (gold-plated sterling silver) mount. The cross pendant measures 1 3/4 inches (4.3cm) high, just the right size for everyday wear.
CONDITION: Excellent antique condition with some normal signs of ages, the gold plating is light. Please view photos carefully before purchasing.
Bressans enamel is a French tradition technique of the city of Bourg En Bresse: "entirely hand-crafted, Bresse enamels, with 24-carat gold pearl decoration, are kiln-fired at 860°C. They can be applied to settings in 750/000 gold, rhodium-plated silver or vermeil." For our beautiful cross, the enamels have been applied to a vermeil setting.
