A magnificent late 19th century French rosary, in solid sterling silver and 59 genuine coral beads. The crucifix is beautifully crafted with each end depicting a Catholic symbol. The dove of the Holy Spirit; the Holy Lamb and the Chrism. The centerpiece represents a fine portrait of Our Lady Virgin Mary. Both pieces have been crafted from sterling silver and gold-plated (vermeil) adding a touch of warmth. This elegant rosary features genuine coral beads with a distinctive matte finish, offering a natural and understated beauty. The soft, warm tones of the coral beads are perfectly complemented by the bright sterling silver elements, creating a striking contrast. CONDITION: good antique condition with some normal signs of ages like wears on the coral beads and Jesus Christ's left arm is missing . Please take a good look at the photos, they are an integral part of the description.
This French rosary would make an excellent communion or birth gift. Can not be worn by an adult as a necklace.
