This stunning French Art Nouveau rosary, dating to the 1890s, is a remarkable expression of devotion and artistry. The rosary features a sterling silver openwork crucifix and centerpiece, both adorned with intricate floral designs depicting lilies, symbolizing purity and the Virgin Mary. Both pieces, with their delicate, lacy openwork, exudes the grace of the Art Nouveau style, blending elegance and reverence.
The rosary is composed of 59 faceted lapis lazuli beads, each with a deep, celestial blue hue that evokes the heavens. The Pater beads are intricately capped, enhancing the luxurious design. Accompanying the rosary is a sterling silver pendant featuring a depiction of Our Lady of Lourdes, surrounded by roses, symbolizing grace and devotion. The reverse side of both the crucifix and the medal bear the heartfelt inscription: "Souvenir of Notre Dame de Lourdes", adding a personal and historical touch.

CONDITION: Good antique condition with some normal signs of ages. It is an authentic French rosary of almost 100 years old. Please take a close look at the photos, they are an integral part of the description.
Can it be worn as a necklace ? it depends on the diameter of your head. For instance, I can wear it as a necklace. The inside diameter of the rosary is around 21 1/4" (54cm).
