Charming French vintage green majolica plate dating to the 1980's. Four plates are available, the listing is for ONE plate, each plate depicts a beautiful French chateau.
- Chateau of Chaumont: "The fortress of Chaumont-sur-Loire was built around the year 1000 to keep watch over the border between the counties of Blois and Anjou."
- Chateau of Chenonceaux: "An architectural masterpiece, property of the Crown and then a royal residence, Château de Chenonceau is a truly exceptional site by its original design, but also its history: loved, managed and protected by women, including Diane of Poitiers and Catherine de Medicis, it is also known as the ‘Château des Dames’. The feminine touch is everywhere; it has protected the Château from the ravages of war and made it a peaceful place."
- Chateau of Blois: "The Royal Château of Blois was the residence of seven french kings and ten queens. As a seat of power, it is a summary of Court life during the Renaissance."
- Chateau of Amboise: "Amboise, architectural jewel of the Renaissance, dips its majestic silhouette into the Loire, a UNESCO World Heritage river."
These plates were an order from L'Anjou Vinicole society in the 1980's and were produced by Gien.
