Needlepoint Holy water Font
A beautiful antique holy water font dating to the early 20th century, circa 1900. The hand carved ox bone Jesus Christ corpus is fixed on hand embroidered needlepoint work. The red and white embroidery shows flowers and leaves. The water container is a mother of pearl genuine shell.
This is certainly a nun's work. It shows the Latine sentence: "o crux ave spes unica"
CONDITION: Good condition for age and type. The top par is used. Please take a close look at the photos.
