Gilt Wood Stair Finial
This is a superb staircase post finial / furniture finial / curtain rod finial made of gilded wood, dating to the middle of the 19th century, circa 1850. Elegant and sumptuous design that will bring a French chateau touch. This hand turned finial could be used on top of a newel post at the foot of a staircase.
Looking for a pair ? a second similar finial is available in my shop (see last photo).
Good antique condition with some normal traces of ages and an antique patina and old wood worms holes.
