5 Bird Blue Plates
A fabulous set of five antique French Clairefontaine ironstone dinner plates. The blue transferware decor features the famous model: "Bengali", showing birds and flowers. These plates date from the late 19th century. Each plate has the manufacturer's stamp on the back: an anchor for Clairefontaine. The pottery manufacture (Burgundy) opened in 1804 and closed in 1932.
This set of five plates would be fabulous to add a French country ambiance to your table.
