A rare and beautiful, late 19th century brooch. The bronze brooch finely features three angels playing music. The details are fine and gorgeous. This pin medal was signed J.Lagrange. Jean Lagrange, born in Lyon on November 6, 1831 and died in Paris on October 28, 1908, was a French sculptor and medalist, 21st general engraver of coins from 1880 to 1896. This artist's jewel measures 1 3/4 inches (4.5cm).
