A beautiful Victorian wall shelf made of plaster. The large wall console finely features a smiling man face with a mustache and bunches of grapes in the hair: Bacchus.
Dionysus, also spelled Dionysos, also called Bacchus or (in Rome) Liber Pater, in Greco-Roman religion, a nature god of fruitfulness and vegetation, especially known as a god of wine.
This late 19th century decorative corbel would amazing in a wine cellar.
Overall good antique condition with some signs of ages: some small chips and an antique patina.
