A rare French antique insects display dating to the 1940's-1960's. The shadow box shows the development of a butterfly from the Pieridae family. The old school entomology work has been set under glass. The box has been produced by the school equipment factory "Pierron" which was founded in France in 1871.

Other insects taxidermy frames are availables in my shop (last photo).

Would be perfect displayed in a Cabinet of Curiosities, in a Science room, for a child.

Condition: as found condition. Wears on insects and paper. There are two hooks to hang it on the wall.
Please take a close look at the photos, they are an integral part of the description.

Height: 7 5/8" (19.5cm)
Width: 5 1/8" (13cm)
Thickness: 2 1/8" (5.5cm)
