A magnificent antique French oil painting on a panel dating to the 20th century. The religious picture depicts the inside of a church in great detail. It is signed Victor Louis Cuguen ( 1882-1969): A drawing teacher at the Toulon high school, he exhibited at the Salon des indépendants from 1923. He became known for his exclusive use of the palette knife. His works are kept at the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Saint-Lô.
Good old condition with some signs of age. Look carefully at the pictures.
