A magnificent French antique engraved medallion made of silver-plate. This is a reproduction of a 16th Century Italian painting. It finely features the Madonna della Seggiola after Raphael. The engraved decor is signed by the French engraver B. Wicker.
This lovely medallion used to be used by mother to protect their little children and mother used to hang the protector medallion on the crib of their baby. This antique crib protector medal would be a great birth gift.
