Antique Canadian Catholic medal dating to 1910. It has been made to commemorate the International Eucharistic Congress of Montreal in 1910.
Indeed, "from September 6 to 11, 1910, Montreal hosted the XXI International Eucharistic Congress. No less than 3 cardinals, 107 bishops and nearly 10,000 religious gathered in the city for the first Eucharistic Congress held in America. Thousands of Catholic faithful join them and take part in ceremonies carefully prepared to move the participants."
The rare pendant features Mary on one side and Jesus and His twelve apostles at the Last Supper with the words "Panem Nostrum Quotidianum" which means "Our Daily Bread" on the other side.
