A beautiful French vintage pair of bookends dating to the early 20th century, around the 1920's. They depict a bust of Jesus Christ and a bust of the Virgin Mary. The Catholic cast spelter figurines are based on a black marble. The religious pieces have been stamped MR on the back. This Art Deco pair of book ends would be a fantastic Communion gift.
CONDITION: Please take a close look at the photos, they are an integral part of the description. Overall good antique condition with some signs of ages: light scratches on the marble, two small chips on the marble of Mary; Jesus Christ bust is moving while Mary bust is fixed.
