Vintage German porcelain teapot. "Onion pattern" in cobalt blue. Original decor "from the year 1739, which was inspired by the East Asian decorations, which were mainly blue at that time. In fact, it does not represent onions, but shows pomegranate, peach, bamboo stick and the delicate flowers of lotus and chrysanthemum in the style of East Asia."
The end of the spout has been glazed in silver.
‘Meissen” in a circle and a five-pointed star below. This mark was used from December 1882 to December 1929 (on the underside).
Condition: very good condition. Only two small chips (see photos).
