A beautiful French antique medal dating to the early 20th century. The pendant features a French first world war soldier praying the Blessed Virgin Mary: "Our Lady of Victory or Our Lady of Victories, Watch over us" (Veuillez sur nous) The reverse depicts a cross and the French words: "Reviens et Victorieux" meaning in English "come back and victorious", dated 1914-1915. This medal was created at the beginning of the first world war by the French artist Emile Dropsy (1848-1923).
