A charming old Byzantine Icon dating to the late 19th century / early 20th century. The orthodox hand painted icon depicts the Nursing Madonna also named Madonna Del Latte in Italian. "The Nursing Madonna, Virgo Lactans, or Madonna Lactans, is an iconography of the Madonna and Child in which the Virgin Mary is shown breastfeeding the infant Jesus." The Russian icon has been painted on wood.

CONDITION: Signs of ages like wears on the painting (scratches, lacks of paintings etc) and a lot of old wood worms holes on the back (the wood has been treated and is good). Please take a close look at the photos, they are an integral part of the description.
