A French vintage religious medal made of copper. The enamelled decor features Our Lady of La Salette (Notre Dame de la Salette). It has been finely hand painted. This medal comes from an old jeweler's stock. It was never worn.
Our Lady of La Salette is a Marian apparition reported by two children, Maximin Giraud and Mélanie Calvat to have occurred at La Salette-Fallavaux, France, in 1846.
