Beautiful vintage French religious medal signed by the artist engraver A.Guzman. The pendant depicts Sanctus Benignus - Saint Benigne. Saint Bénigne de Dijon is a Catholic saint reputed to have suffered martyrdom in Dijon around the year 179. The Burgundian legends made him the apostle of Burgundy, and a disciple of Saint Polycarp of Smyrna.
