High quality and thick pendant made of bronze tone metal by the French designer Elie Pellegrin (1914-2001). Measuring 1 5/8 inches in diameter, the pendant features a detailed depiction of Saint Michele, also known as Saint Michaele. The first name Michele was very popular in France from the '40s to the '60s. It means “who is like God”.
The vibrant cloisonné enamel technique creates rich, vivid colors that enhance the saint’s image with artistic elegance.
The medallion floats from a 22 7/8 long black cotton thread.
CONDITION: very good vintage condition with some normal signs of ages.
