A rare French antique insects display dating to the 1940's-1960's. The shadow box shows the development of silkworms from larva to butterfly. The old school entomology work has been set under glass. The box has been produced by the school equipment factory "Pierron" which was founded in France in 1871.
Other insects taxidermy frames are availables in my shop (last photos).
Would be perfect displayed in a Cabinet of Curiosities, in a Science room, for a child.
Condition: as found condition. Wears on insects and paper. A crack on the glass. There are two hooks to hang it on the wall.
