Rare and wonderful silver repousse medallion dating to the 1940's. The French pendant depicts an Angel guiding a children. It has been hallmarked 800 and is based on a celluloid plaque. I guess that this medallion is a cradle medallion, used by mother to protect their little children and mother used to hang the protector medal on the crib of their baby.
This large medal can still be used in many ways, you can wear it as a necklace pendant, hang it on a wall etc.
It would be a great birth or Communion gift.
Overall good vintage condition with some signs of ages like small knock. The medallion is very shiny, it has been polished. Please take a close look at the photos, they are an integral part of the description.
