Creil & Montereau has produced this grouping of 4 soup plates (9" diameters, typical dinner soup plate at turn of 19th century, c.1860, when these were made). The charming blue decor features printed underglaze fruits, flowers and vine leaves. This pattern is called "Vigne" (vine). They're fabulous plates you'll enjoy using. Not just cabinet plates, this set will take you from informal to formal table settings in style. The mark on back was used between 1840 and 1876: lavender underglaze maker mark noting "FV, LM & Cie", as maker, LM & Cie for Leboeuf Millet.
CONDITION: Good condition for age and type. The color can change from a plate to another. Some normals signs of ages like some light stains on the ironstone. A really wonderful old set, mid-1800s.
Please take a close look at the photos, they are an integral part of the description.
