A rare and authentic French reliquary housing a relic of Saint Catherine Laboure. Saint Catherine Laboure had several visions of the Blessed Virgin. On November 27, 1830, Mary appeared to St. Catherine and asked her to have a medal struck, known today as the Miraculous Medal. Catherine asked the engraver Adrien Vachette, who first drew the words of the Virgin Mary. Catherine died on December 31, 1876, and was canonized on July 27, 1947. Her feast day is November 28.
Made of high quality brass, the reliquary opens and closes well. The relic is well protected and attached with a red seal.
Medals by Vachette are available
