Vallerysthal Milk Glass Squirrel
A vintage French milk glass lidded box dating to the early 20th century. The painted white opaline box has been produced by Vallerysthal, a French glass manufacture. The box is in the shape of an acorn and the lid features a brown squirrel. This model first appeared in the catalog of 1908. "Acorn and his squirrel holding another acorn between his paws. This squirrel has rabbit ears! L 17 x l 8x h 12 cm." Collectible box.

This lidded box can be used in different ways as a jewelry box or a candy box. It was made to be a sugar bowl. Would be great in a hunting cabin, perfect for the autumn / fall season.
It has been stamped Vallerysthal, inside.
Overall good antique condition. Wears of the painting (some lacks) and small to tiny chips on the edges and small cracks.
