Bates Elliot & Co has produced this large oval serving dish in the 1870's. The charming lavender decor features printed underglaze greek motifs. This pattern is called "Grecian Border". This is a fabulous platter that you'll enjoy using. It does not bear the Bates Elliot and Co mark but it has been impressed in deep 6/79 that gives a manufacture date of June 1879, 144 years ago.
CONDITION: Good condition for age and type. Some normals signs of ages like some light "tea" stains on the ironstone, light flaws of the enamel. Please take a close look at the photos, they are an integral part of the description.
